I've decided to do the library spaces project on Virginia Tech's Newman Library. They recently renovated a large area to make a coffee shop and reading room. This area is visible from the sidewalk and it looks comfortable! I look forward to learning more about it.
Yeah! A study space that incorporates all the studying needs (including food and drink) has been a big theme in some of the renovations we've profiled. I understand the concern about food/drink & about noise, but proper insulation and sound proofing should prevent any change in the special collections environment.
